36th Annual Friends of Saint Dominic's Dinner

36th Annual Friends of Saint Dominic's Dinner

On January 24, 2017, more than 1,000 leaders of New York City’s business and labor industry raised over $1 million for Saint Dominic’s Home.

Hosted by the Friends of Saint Dominic’s, the Home’s foundation arm, the dinner honored two industry leaders who have made a difference to the Saint Dominic’s community. Richard Kennedy, President and CEO of Skanska USA, was presented with the Francis J.P. McHale Memorial Award, for a professional whose life is distinguished by the qualities that identified Frank McHale: professionalism, personal integrity, and generosity to those less fortunate in our society.  John "Ozzie” Nelson, chairman and CEO of NELSON, received the Victory Award, which honors an outstanding leader whose efforts and dedication are a source of inspiration and encouragement to people, and whose commitment to the dignity of family, and people whose lives have been overshadowed and limited by misfortune, has stood as a model of accomplishment, love and charity.

This year marked 36 years of hosting this fundraising dinner. Since 1995 the dinner has raised almost $20 million for Saint Dominic’s Home
