General Information

School hours:
8:15 AM - 2:15 PM for students
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM for staff

The School Year:
The school operates a 10-month program (Sept.-June) and an extended 6 week summer program (July - August)

Hours of Instruction:
Grades K-6: 5 hours (exclusive of lunch)
Grades 7-8: 5.5 hours (exclusive of lunch)

Staffing Ratio:
8:1:1, 6:1:1
Any number combination of classes at 8:1:1 and 6:1:1 will be permitted with the specification that the capacity will not exceed 80 school-age students with disabilities.

Capacity:
80 School-Age Students with Disabilities

Primary Disabilities Served:
Emotionally Disabled, Multiply Disabled, Other Health Impaired

Speech, Language, and Occupational Therapy:
Provided according to the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

Counseling:
All students receive Counseling which is provided by the school psychologist or social worker.

Physical Therapy:
some students receive Physical Therapy which is provided by their local school district.

Special Areas of Instruction include:
Art, Music, Reading, Language, and Physical Education, Library Media Center, Computer Room, Music Room, Art Room, Gymnasium, Science Laboratory (Portable)

Staff includes: Science Teacher, Foreign Language Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, ArtTeacher P/T, Music Teacher P/T, Reading Specialist P/T, Consultant.

Ardsley, Clarkstown, Cornwall, Dobbs Ferry, East Ramapo, Edgemont, Elmsford, Greenwood Lake, Irvington, Monroe- Woodbury, Nanuet, New Rochelle, NYC, North Rockland, Pearl River, Ramapo Central, Scarsdale, South Orangetown, Tuckahoe, Yonkers.
