St. Dominic’s School Life Skills Program
St. Dominic’s School students working toward their SACC degree (Skills and Achievement Commencement Credentials) are flourishing in the relatively new program, which enhances their strengths and levels of independence in academic, career development and foundation skills needed for post-school living, learning and working.
School Partners with People to People
Saint Dominic's Home is pleased to partner with People to People this season to collect coats for families in Rockland County.

The graduates were dapper in their sky blue gowns and mortarboards and met with cheers and tears from their families, friends and faculty in the school’s gymnasium. 
St. Dominic’s School Students Help Hungry

Through a Catholic Charities “Feeding Our Neighbors” initiative, the students and staff at St. Dominic’s School in Blauvelt help organize a food drive for the benefit of People to People.

St. Dominic’s School Students ‘DARE’  to be Cool
More than 50 students at St. Dominic’s School participated in the new and exciting four-session DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program in conjunction with the Orangetown Police Department entitled the “Orangetown Police and Kids Program.”

A Tennessee Day of Service at St. Dominic’s School

Thirty-six juniors from The King’s Academy visited St. Dominic’s School in March. It was the fourth consecutive year the students, along with teachers and parent chaperones, spent a day of their annual spring break trip to New York at St. Dominic's School. 

St. Dominic’s School Receives Expanded Certification

St. Dominic’s School has received two new New York State Education Department certifications to serve students ages 5 – 21 with autism and speech and language impairment

Senator David Carlucci Tours Saint Dominic’s Home Campus

New York State Senator David Carlucci toured the campus of Saint Dominic’s Home on Oct. 28. The tour included visiting with students and staff at St. Dominic’s K-8th grade school and meeting staff and consumers in Farrell Hall in the Developmental Disabilities Department Day Hab Program.
